Since 2010, the Premier League and Professional Footballers' Association's Community Fund has enabled clubs across England and Wales to develop and deliver community programmes that are tailored to needs in their local area.

Here, we take a look at the incredible impact of some of these programmes.

Raising children and family life can present a wide variety of challenges and difficulties.

But in Leicester, help is at hand.

Leicester City in the Community's Project 15 works with hard-to-reach families to provide support and guidance using tools such as workshops, stay-and-play sessions and coffee mornings.

Nathan Glover is a participant and volunteer at Project 15 and says the programme has been a massive help to him and his family.

"I did go downhill a little bit because of everything I was going through in my family life but coming back here has completely lifted me back up, even better now than I was before," he says.

"The project made a difference, it brought out the best in me. Confidence, the social aspect, it's been fantastic.

"It's helped me so much. It's turned my life around.

"I've changed so much, and everyone here has been such a big support to me. I'm a lot more confident and engaging now."

The support provided by Project 15 comes in many forms and covers subjects such as mental and physical health, wellbeing, financial advice, breakfast clubs, eating on a budget and re-establishing a social life.

"It's about making sure we provide opportunities for the whole family, working together to understand what they really need from us," says Sarah Jones, community development manager at Leicester City in the Community.

"It's everything from advocating for families, housing, there's a massive cost-of-living crisis as well, it's whatever they need.

"It's that whole sense of belonging. We're not just a badge dropping into a session, we're leaving a sustainable mark, we're building for the future."
